Safa Shield which has been developed by Nanokote, a Division of Micronisers Pty Ltd, which worked in conjunction with the Australian CSIRO in Canberra for the past 15 years. They are now distributing worldwide and are leading the way with surface coating technology.
What Is Safa Shield?
Safa Shield is a hydrophobic coating that works like a non-stick fry pan, by actually repelling dirt and grease. No more harsh cleaning required, all it takes is a wipe over with a damp micro fibre cloth and you’re done. Safa Shield will reduce cleaning time by up to 90%, but it saves more than just time.
How It Works
Over time, calcium and lime deposits will get into the pours of the glass and will slowly build up as they stick to the glass. This may start, in time, a process called corrosion that will result, if left un-attended, in permanent damage to the molecular structure of the glass. Once this happens, no amount of scrubbing or cleaning will remove it, and generally you will need to replace the glass.
